About Samuel Boone
Samuel L. Boone, Jr. is a firm believer in the importance of “Investing in Our Children’s Future.” Sam is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. He was raised by the nurturing upbringing of his parents, Samuel and Janet Boone, Sr.
Sam attended Portsmouth Catholic. He graduated from Manor High School in 1990. In 1995, Sam obtained a B.S. in Political Science from Norfolk State University.
Currently, Sam is a Virginia State Trooper with 13 years of service. For the past 5 years, he has been a recruiter for the Virginia State Police.
Sam has been happily married to Zarmeta Boone for 8 years. Zarmeta is a Reading Specialist in Virginia Beach Public Schools. Sam and Zarmeta have resided in the Hickory and Grassfield areas of Chesapeake for the past 8 years. They are the proud parents of twin boys, Leon and Sammy, who attend Grassfield Elementary.
Spending quality time with his family brings Sam unparalleled enjoyment. He takes pleasure in traveling with his family and being a faithful member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Additionally, Sam is fervent about mentoring youths to set goals and to achieve their maximum potential.
